POST-EVACUATION SURVIVAL CONSIDERATIONS Post Emergency

Once you have successfully handled the emergency, which may have included evacuating the passengers and crew, your responsibilities are not over. Post evacuation procedures are also important. Your responsibilities continue until rescue forces have taken charge of your survivors. Also, you can plan on some, if not all, survivors (crew and passengers) experiencing some form of post- accident stress. Maintain control of your passengers and the situation! The ACCOUNTS procedure can be used to maintain that control. The procedure will be more fully discussed in later modules.
