GULFSTREAM EVACUATION CREWMEMBER TRAINING

Regulatory authorities have established that the GVSP (G500/550) aircraft will require a trained “Evacuation Crewmember” (EC) AND a formal passenger briefing must be provided on all flights with ten (10) or more passengers. This is REGARDLESS of the type of operation, i.e., private/corporate, charter, etc.

While it is NOT required that the Evacuation Crewmember (EC) be trained in any other flight attendant duties, common sense dictates that other safety duties should be trained.

GULFSTREAM 550

Operating Manual

Supplement

The Trained Evacuation Crewmember: 1) is an additional required crewmember for all flights with ten or more passengers 2) cannot serve as EC while acting as a required flight crewmember 3) must be trained to conduct evacuations using the typical Gulfstream elliptical exits

4) must be trained to direct passenger evacuations with considerations of size, disabilities, and the possibility of blocking the exit(s) 5) will participate in EC training every twelve months 6) must perform practical drills utilizing Gulfstream-style exits 7) must satisfactorily complete a written exam.

The combined components of the Aircare FACTS Training program provides the needed training for one to act as an Evacuation Crewmember aboard the G500/550 aircraft, as well as a well-trained crewmember (FA or FT) aboard almost any aircraft.
