Students on this programme develop skills and knowledge to prepare for a wide range of occupations in health and social care. You will study Biology as a mandatory subject on this diploma, together with a choice of two from Health Studies, Chemistry and Psychology.
PROGRESSION
The care industry is a hugely rewarding and exciting sector and holds multiple career pathways for your future. This diploma leads to a wide range of degree courses in, for example, human biosciences, podiatry, mental health nursing, child nursing, adult nursing, paramedic science, midwifery, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, radiography, dental hygiene & dentistry, psychology, sports coaching and counselling.

This diploma provides a pathway onto a variety of degree courses to pursue a career in science-based professions. Depending on which modules you choose, you can expect to study subjects such as Biology, Chemistry, Psychology and Sociology.
PROGRESSION
This course leads to a wealth of science-based careers and degree courses in, for example, human biosciences, medicine, pharmacy, chemical engineering, forensics, conservation biology & ecology, zoology, veterinary science, medicine, nursing, midwifery, paramedic science, podiatry, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, dietetics, nutrition, psychology and computer science.
