Switzerland’s SchlossHotel | Active & CBD Hotel has teamed up with Swiss Cannabis SA to open a pioneering CBD spa, encapsulating its innovative vision for the wellness market. A traditional Alpine boutique that’s reinvented itself as an active hotel, the property’s ‘stay active, stay well’ concept is perfectly realised in the new spa. And nowhere could be better suited for its launch than the car-free Alpine resort of Zermatt at the foot of the iconic Matterhorn mountain. Zermatt is known not only as an ideal base for
a variety of year-round outdoor activities, but also for its hotel industry that’s rich in tradition. SchlossHotel | Active & CBD Hotelis now furthering that reputation by opening Europe’s first CBD spa. The concept was developed in co-operation with Swiss Cannabis SA. This established Swiss company produces legal cannabis products for the food and cosmetics industry, and is certified in the field of CBD production by Swissmedic GMP, the Swiss regulatory and supervisory authority for medicinal products and medical devices.
Upon entering the CBD Spa, guests are invited
to leave everything behind and surrender to relaxation, with views of the world-famous Matterhorn only adding to the calming, regenerative experience. CBD is used extensively in the new spa: a wide range of treatments use CBD oils and there’s a CBD herbal sauna. SchlossHotel | Active & CBD Hotel wellness
concept, ‘stay active, stay well’, is founded on three key modes of being. ‘Simply Being’ reflects the way the hotel’s four-star service encourages guests to tune into themselves and simply do what feels good. ‘Active Being’ focuses on the array of sports, exercise and activities in Zermatt. Finally, ‘Being Passive’ is dedicated to rest, regeneration and relaxation. As well as unwinding in the CBD Spa or getting active in the fitness and yoga area, guests can partake in specialist yoga retreats and boot camps run by the hotel in summer. rooms and suites spread over the main building, as well as the newly added six-bedroom SchlossHouse and two-bedroom SchlossCottage.
