Grenada has a wealth of luxury resorts, all offering a perfect base from which to appreciate this beautiful country. During my time on the island, I stayed at two very different properties – the modern and Instagrammable Silversands and the more traditional and charming Spice Island Beach Resort.

Stylish Silversands is located on the famous Grand Anse Beach. The interior is modern and sleek but Ìhi moÃÌ iÞi-V>ÌVhin} >ëiVÌ ià Ìhi inwniÌÞ pool. The spa is also epic, but having baked my skin during a day on the water, I was hesitant about having a body massage. I needn’t have worried; the masseuse was extremely delicate, and I felt like a new man after an hour’s session. The spa also features another large
pool, steam room, sauna and hamman, plus an ice cave and an ice bucket shower (for which my sunburnt skin was
very grateful). Wim Hof, eat your heart out! Spice Island is also located on Grand Anse and

Roger gave us a vibrant and detailed explanation about Grenada’s history and culture. His uplifting and upbeat attitude was replicated by everyone we met, with a jubilant but relaxed atmosphere felt across all corners of the island.
offers an elegant and contemporary style, with all the Caribbean charm you could ask for. The all-inclusive property is home to 64 suites – half are beachfront, some in the garden and the rest with private plunge pools. Being able to relax on a hammock under a palm tree on my private beachfront terrace was something to treasure. The service from the staff was top-notch and the food served in the two restaurants – Oliver’s Restaurant and Sea and Surf – was equally spectacular.
