Simonsig Wine Estate, South Africa

Victoria Bruce-Miller, Travel By Victoria “For me the highlights were hanging out in the desert,

the sunset boat trip on the beautiful yacht, heading over to dinner at 101 at The Palm, hiking up Table Mountain in Cape Town and having the AquaTrek experience at Atlantis, The Palm. It was all fabulous.”

SIGHTSEEING HIGHLIGHTS

The next day, the group headed to Simonsig Wine Estate in Stellenbosch, one of the oldest wine farms in South Africa. Delegates enjoyed a tour of the winery and a private wine-tasting and even got the chance to disgorge their own bottle of Cap Classique. Back at One&Only Cape Town, the day was rounded off with a multi-course dinner at Japanese fine-dining restaurant Nobu. The next morning, agents and operators were taken on a whistle-stop tour of the city with Escape+Explore. The group visited Hout Bay, Scarborough and Cape Point, where delegates were able to stand at the most southwestern point of the African continent, Cape of Good Hope. The tour concluded with a visit to Boulders Beach to see its captivating colony of African penguins. That evening, agents and operators were treated to a traditional braai with a private chef in One&Only Cape Town’s Presidential Suite – a four-bedroom penthouse featuring expansive rooftop view and a candlelit terrace. The following day, one half of the group arose bright and

early for a sunrise hike up Table Mountain, while the other half headed for an exclusive helicopter ride over Cape Point with NAC Helicopters Cape Town.

What was your favourite part of the fam trip? One moment that stands out for me was the braai with a private chef in the penthouse of One&Only Cape Town. It was just like a laidback evening with friends, enjoying fabulous food and wine in a stunning setting.

What do you love about One&Only and Atlantis? The high service levels. I know my clients will be incredibly well looked after at each property.

Cape of Good Hope

What was your key takeaway from the trip? The quality of the curated experiences at each property blew me away, and with experiential travel being more on travellers’ minds than ever before, it was an amazing opportunity to see what my clients could be treated to when staying at One&Only or Atlantis.
