NOBU HO
LOCATION: In the south of the island, on the shores of Talamanca Bay. Ibiza Town is a couple of miles away while the airport can be reached in about 15 minutes by car.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS: There’s no denying this property is aesthetically pleasing. I love the textures and colours – with stone, ceramics and neutral-coloured natural linens and cottons working perfectly alongside pops of jade, blue hues >n` }ol`° n Ìhi loLLÞ Ã«>Vi] ÞoÕ½ll wn` ÃÕëin`i` ÃÜin}in} chairs, cosy corners and sweeping views across the bay.
THE FACTS: The majority of the 152 rooms and suites have sea views, and expansive terraces and patios. My Junior Suite Plunge Pool is impressive with ample space, a private plunge pool and terrace with direct links to the pool area. The hotel’s Grand Suites – Penthouse, Presidential and Royal Suites – are out-of-this-world good. The property boasts a Six Senses Spa and a John Frieda hair salon. The gym is small but adequate. As you might expect from a Nobu hotel, the food is outstanding. There are four restaurants to choose from including a Nobu packed full of chef Matsuhisa’s signature dishes such as black miso cod and yellowtail sashimi. Beach club-inspired Chambao serves a wonderful breakfast, but an even better lunch menu with delicious Ã>l>`Ã] «iââ>à lo>`i` ÜiÌh ÌÀÕvyi >n` «linÌÞ ov Ãi>voo`

dishes. Ibizan-inspired cuisine is on offer in BiBo, created by Michelin-starred chef Dani Garcia, while the Bay Cafe serves nourishing juices and post-workout lunches.
IDEAL FOR: Couples and families alike. The property manages to straddle both audiences perfectly. The kids’ club offers foraging and craft activities as well as sushi and taco making and the chance to learn to DJ. Childminders are available for couples who want to dip in and out of the adult-only facilities.
EXPLORE: Take a stroll along the boardwalk in front of the hotel and reach nearby Botafoch marina in less than 10 minutes. From there you can continue walking towards Ibiza Town or catch a ferry to Formentera.
WOW: The food! Dining at Nobu is always going to have the wow factor, but the food across all restaurants was consistently great. We enjoyed delicious dish after delicious dish and I’d stay here again for the food alone! I also loved the photographic artwork on display throughout the hotel, showcasing various parts of Ibiza.
BOOK IT: The property leads in at €430 a night in low season or €850 in high season.
