Un séisme de magnitude 5,7 sur l’échelle de Richter a frappé le centre de l’Italie, hier, le 18 janvier. Avec cette force, on continue d’enregistrer des secousses sismiques même à Rome, où le métro et la plupart des écoles ont dû être évacués. Cinq personnes ont été tuées dans la région de la chaîne des Apennins, qui est fréquemment touchée.
Le tremblement de terre a aussi provoqué aussi une grande avalanche. L’avalanche a eu lieu dans la nuit de mercredi à jeudi, détruisant un hôtel. Il y a 29 morts et neuf autres personnes sont à l’hôpital. Les pompiers sont encore sur place pour retrouver et aider les victimes.
