As you know, in French you need to put the words ne and pas around a verb to make it negative (e.g. Je ne vais pas).
When you make a reflexive verb negative, the extra pronoun stays with the verb. The ne comes after the subject pronoun and the pas comes after the verb. For example, Je me souviens becomes Je ne me souviens pas.
