Q & A
Q: Have you seen a rise in speci- fication of Linear floor formers? A: Linear floor formers are often chosen to enhance the contemp- orary appearance of a wet room and our Aqua-Dec Linear range has seen steady growth year on year. A linear wet-room dec directs the water to a single drainage point using one, two, three or four falls. Practicality, functionality, flexibility, and safety are just some benefits of a large, linear level-access shower- ing space. Our recently launched, large-format linear decs offer the opportunity to broaden bathroom design horizons and create a stunning large, wet-room space.
Q: What new products are
available in Impey’s portfolio? A: Our Aqua-Dec Linear 1 is a new linear wet-room floor former with a single gradient to direct water to the drainage point. It offers a stylish, minimalist aesthetic, adaptable for contemporary wet-room designs. As a new addition to our portfolio, the Aqua-Dec Linear 1 completes our Linear offering and is available in three size options. The 800mm drain is positioned next to and in

line with the wall for an ultra- modern appearance. And the single gradient ensures that the Linear 1 is quick and simple to tile – ideal for any type of compatible floor tiles.
Q: Are there any options for personalisation of the Impey Linear floor former range? A: When it comes to the design of a wet room, we believe personal- isation is key – tailoring the look to each space and ensuring that the room appeals to stylistic pref- erences. This can incorporate many design-led elements from flooring type, colour and tile size, to brassware style and finish. Other crucial aesthetic choices include the shape and style of the wet-floor area and the style of the drain top. To enhance options for our Aqua- Dec Linear range we offer a variety of on-trend designs and colours for our linear drain tops, to coordinate with the style of the bathroom.
Q: What are the implications for accessibility for the new, larger size linear floor formers? A: Our new larger Aqua-Dec Linear enables the creation of a spacious, practical and customisable shower- ing space. Combining
shower access, they are perfect for users with accessibility require- ments. Appealing to all types of users, from interior-savvy first-time buyers
or families with young
children, to multigenerational homes, or people with disabilities, a large wet room offers a long-term solution that can fit virtually any size or space of room and accom- modate a wheelchair if needed. A spacious wet-room dec is ideal to futureproof a showering area – offering level access and plenty of room for accessibility.
Q: Can you explain your manufacturing ethos? A: The materials we use in the manufacturing process
