FACIAL SAGGING 35
botanical extract in formulation twice daily on the face. The in vivo evaluation enrolled 58 female participants across phototypes I-V over an age range of 38-67 that had visible facial lines and wrinkles. Over the eight-week study, improvements
were observed for several targets including: skin thickness, elasticity, texture, volume, smoothness, visible firmness, and wrinkles. The most impressive results were detected for bolstering of skin thickness and elasticity. Using ultrasound measurements, the waterless
botanical extract containing formulation produced highly statistically significant results in recipients showing increased skin thickness by as much as 13% (p<0.0001) after eight weeks of twice- daily use, with 100% of panellists exhibiting improvement (Figure 4, left). Similarly, the ElastimeterTM
measurements were considered
highly statistically significant with 17.38% (p<0.0001) seeing improvement (Figure 4, right). The increase in skin density strongly suggests that the dermal structure of the skin has been bolstered from within. This is evidenced in multiple high-resolution images captured of the participants enrolled in the waterless botanical extract group (Figure 5). Coupled with the Elastimeter data, this further
strengthens the case that this waterless botanical extract supports the skin’s natural plumping processes to help combat wrinkles and sagging from within, restoring a fuller, more youthful appearance. A modern approach to non-surgical facial
contouring – making it the perfect solution to combat facial sagging due to GLP-1 agonist induced rapid weight loss.
Conclusion These exciting findings support a natural alternative to dermal fillers in the fight against facial sagging and volume loss as a result of the new generation of metabolic drugs currently flooding the market. This E. purpurea waterless botanical active ingredient manifests a near full restoration in skin

Elastimeter (left) and Ultrasound (right) analyses were performed on participants in an 8-week clinical study where a cream containing 3% of the waterless botanical extract was applied twice daily to the face
plumping from the molecular level all the way up to highly visible facial features. Fully sustainable via an extraction process that
operates at a net carbon zero and preservative- free, this active material checks a lot of boxes in the consumer quest for natural ways of maintaining youthful facial features.
