Clariant showcases 15-strong formulation concept

Clariant unveiled a new formulation concept featuring 15 product ideas across hair care, body care, face care, sun care, and cleansing categories at last month’s NYSCC Suppliers’ Day trade show in New York City. The ‘Let True Beauty Glow’

concept addresses key beauty trends including multifunctional benefits for value-conscious consumers and the slow beauty movement toward authentic, simple formulations. It also embraces philosophy of enhancing natural beauty rather than transformation, supporting the growing demand for real, non- makeup looks. The portfolio includes hair care solutions like GlowRay Hair Mist, which protects hair during beach days and FreshUp Body Spray, delivering an instant cooling effect

preservatives for broad-spectrum protection. Each formulation has been

developed with detailed technical specifications, including complete ingredient lists, manufacturing procedures, stability data, and challenge test results. “The ‘Let True Beauty Glow’

with a velvety touch. The formulations leverage

Clariant’s advanced ingredient technologies, including Aristoflex variants for lightweight textures and superior performance, Plantasens range for plant-based emulsifiers and emollients, Eclipsogen UV filters for advanced encapsulated protection, Glucotain and Hostapon surfactants for mild cleansing, and Nipaguard

concept reflects a fundamental shift in how consumers approach beauty,” said Petra Kudla, global marketing manager, hair care at Clariant. “We’re seeing people move away

this movement by providing multifunctional solutions that enhance natural beauty through thoughtful chemistry.”

Sabinsa unveils latest skin care active

Sabinsa showcased its latest skin care active, Mangiophelin, at the NYSCC Suppliers’ Day trade show in New York last month. Developed for modern skin care

formulation needs, Mangiophelin is positioned to help improve the appearance of multiple visible signs of skin ageing in a single cosmetic active. Standardized to contain 10%

polyphenols and 1% mangiferin, this Mangifera indica extract is suitable for use in topical formulations and for brands formulating within the ingestible beauty category, supporting the fast-growing nutricosmetics space.

Additional popular products

featured at the Javits Convention Centre included Babchiol (Bakuchiol 99%), a plant-derived retinol alternative extracted from Psoralea corylifolia, offering gentler anti- ageing skin care for the look of firmer, smoother skin. There was also Cococin,

derived from coconut endosperm; Proscalpin for use in hair care; and pTeroWhite for cosmetic applications supporting radiance and age-defying appearance. In addition, there was Saberry, an amla fruit extract recognized for antioxidant support; and SabiWhite, a natural extract derived from yellow turmeric roots to support skin luminosity and even tone. “As consumers increasingly

choose products containing natural ingredients, Sabinsa’s portfolio is positioned to support formulators across skin care, hair care, and beauty-from-within categories,” said a spokeswoman.

Seiwa Kasei unleashes pea protein power

Seiwa Kasei has taken the wraps off Promois EJ-118 (CT), oil-soluble pea protein that upgrades oil cosmetics by providing protein-based repair from within. Promois EJ-118 (CT) (INCI:

Isostearoyl Hydrolyzed Pea Protein, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride) repairs hair damage for strong, shiny hair and moisturizes skin, making it ideal for hair oils and multifunctional formulations. Seiwa Kasei has previously

developed oil-soluble proteins such as keratin, collagen, and silk. Building on this expertise, it has

DSM-Firmenich unwraps HMO skin care actives

DSM-Firmenich has unleashed Glycare SK, a range of skin care ingredients powered by human milk oligosaccharide (HMO) biotechnology for skin regeneration and resilience. HMOs are unique sugar

molecules naturally present in mother’s milk that programme the resilience that equips newborns to adapt, recover, and thrive. Using precision

fermentation, the company replicates the exact bioidentical structures found in mother’s milk — without any human- derived materials — enabling the benefits of HMOs to be applied in cosmetic formulations. “By translating HMO

biology into skin care, we can help activate the skin’s natural regenerative processes, strengthen the skin barrier, enhance resilience to inflammation and support smart microbiome adhesion,” said Martin Pagac Ph.D., global senior scientist at DSM- Firmenich. The range includes Glycare

SK Renew, the repair specialist, supports barrier recovery and skin regeneration. Advanced protocol clinically

tested on individuals with chronic rosacea and sensitive skin it delivered a 19% reduction in TEWL versus placebo confirming barrier repair and reinforcement and 38% reduction in visible redness and erythema after eight weeks. The ingredient also

restored skin structure with 7% improvement in elasticity after 4 weeks, supported by 67% collagen I stimulation observed in vitro. Meanwhile, Glycare SK

Comfort focuses on everyday resilience for sensitive skin. Clinical testing

demonstrated 16% reduction in TEWL versus placebo after eight weeks, a 13% increase in hydration after four weeks, and a visible reduction in redness, helping prevent flare-ups.
