Procedure: Combine phase A in one beaker. In a separate beaker combine phase B. Stir phase A on the overhead stirrer for a minute before adding phase B slowly. Procedure: Premix phase A and stir until a homogenous solution is obtained. Add phase B. Add ingredients of phase C one after the other. Add them in portion to avoid lumps. Then stir with a turbine stirrer until a homogenous solution is obtained. Add solution of D. Adjust the pH to 5.5 with E. Properties: pH: 5.50 Viscosity: (Brookfield RV3/10rpm): 1800 mPa.s

Procedure: Combine Phase B and mix until smooth. Add to Phase A using a propeller mixer for 10 minutes at 500 rpm. Add Phase C to Phase A/B and mix using a propeller mixer at 500 rpm for 5 minutes. Heat Phase A/B/C to 85°C with propeller mixing. Heat Phase D to 85°C. Add Phase D to Phase A/B/C with homogenizer and mix until uniform. Transfer to a propeller mixing and begin cooling. At 40°C add Phase E. Mix until uniform. Properties: Appearance: Thin white lotion pH 6.00 – 6.50
