SYNOT Strengthens Position in Ukraine
UK – Circl, a new ‘live-action’ social betting app, has launched to make watching sports fun, inclusive and accessible to all, after closing a £375,000 pre- seed funding round. The Manchester-based start-up has launched Circl on the Apple iOS store and Google Play store following £375,000 of pre- seed investment, led by Dutch Sport Tech Fund, combined with various Angel Syndicates. The sports tech start-up was created to change the way the world watches and bets on live sport.
Circl currently allows up to 10 users to play against each other to win a pool of money deposited by the group. The gaming mechanism is based on real- time events during the match, which are given their own scoring system. This allows for the pot of money to move around the Circl, rather than be awarded solely based on the final outcome.

SYNOT Group has strengthened its position in the newly regulated Ukraine gaming market with the acqusition of a licence to operate gaming halls.
Czech-based SYNOT Group has acquired the necessary licence to operate gaming halls in the Ukraine market, having made the application via its Ukrainian-Czech joint venture ROYAL, Ltd. Approximately 30 years ago, SYNOT co- founded ROYAL, one of the most successful companies both in the country and in the gaming business in Ukraine. It is ROYAL that is now starting to gradually open its gaming halls in Lviv, which is the largest city in western Ukraine.
“According to local legislation, gaming halls in Ukraine may only be located in hotels. For now, clients will find our gaming equipment in the luxury hotels Sonata, Volter and NTON,” explained Roland Andrýsek, SYNOT Group’s Sales Director. “We see great potential for our further expansion in this country and region.”
“Lviv is one of the most important cultural, educational, transport and economic centers in the entire western part of the country,” adds Mr. Andrýsek. “Each licence is limited by law to 250 gaming facilities. So far, we have obtained the
Bingo Association Hub at ICE London has its own identity
UK
Clarion Gaming, organisers of the ICE London 2022, ExCeL Exhibition Centre, UK) has unveiled branding for the newly named Bingo Association Hub, which has been developed in partnership between the two organisations.
Te at-show Hub, (formerly the Bingo Pavilion) will serve as a meeting place for the bricks and mortar industry as well as providing a home for key industry suppliers including Cowells Arrow, ECM Systems, Edward Tompson, Leisure Electronics, NRM, Shipley Creative and Wexel Gaming.
Stuart Hunter, Managing Director of Clarion Gaming, commented: “ICE London is
first licence, and if the results meet our expectations, we will apply for additional licences in Ukraine.“
Customers visiting ROYAL locations will find in gaming halls comprised of SYNOT machines, as well as the machines of the company's largest business partners. Last year, the SYNOT Group opened a new showroom in Lviv intended to demonstrate its latest products to existing and potential business partners in the country.
SYNOT Group is no newcomer to operations in Ukraine. In 2009, the gaming industry as a whole was banned in the country. Tis led to extreme black market growth and increased corruption in the intervening period. However, the adoption by the government in 2020 of a new law regulating and controlling the gaming business not only brings this area of business under control, but ensures revenue to the state treasury. Licences for individual gaming halls have been issued recently and SYNOT Group is proud to return to operations in the Ukraine market.
known for meeting the business needs of every gaming vertical and I am delighted to unveil the new identity for the Hub which has been created in collaboration with the Bingo Association and draws on the unique characteristics of the Bingo Association logo.
“We aim to work with all of our stakeholders in the broadly- based ICE community to deliver an event that works for them and I am extremely grateful to Bingo Association chief executive Miles Baron and his team for helping us to deliver a presence that meets the need of this important sector.
“Bricks and mortar bingo is central to the at-show experience and as a team we will be working hard to make the Bingo Association Hub a ‘must visit’ component of the ICE London experience,” added Mr. Hunter.
