From humble beginnings in a small office in Corporate Park North, Midrand and a staff of three, DRGT has grown to a staff complement of almost 10 times that figure, and now operates from large premises comprising offices, an R&D development hub, a showroom and a warehouse in the heart of Sandton.
“SiP was our very first product when we started the business in March 2010,” stated Charl Geyser, DRGT Africa's MD. “At that stage we had a few existing customers across the continent including Millionaire's Gaming Africa operating casinos in Ghana and Kenya and several others in Malawi and Zambia. In fact, our very first installation was at the Prince Hotel in Ghana in April 2010, and I'm very proud to say that Joseph Pestana and his team at Millionaires are still one of our biggest clients today, with our most recent installation for Millionaires being undertaking towards the end of last year at their newest casino in Nairobi.'
“In DRGT not only did I have a great jackpot solution, but in my view the most powerful, cost effective and user-friendly casino management system I had ever come across,” added Mr. Geyser. Roll forward a decade, and DUMA and

Company growth in Africa since March 2010 has been based upon quality, robust management systems and jackpot solutions, as well as its commitment to servicing and supporting its customers to the highest standards possible. “We operate in the entertainment sector, where experiences drive loyalty and our product offering allows casino operators to do that. We in turn need to provide that self-same experience as a vendor to those operators, and although we're not perfect, I'm very proud of the manner in which the entire staff complement at DRGT Africa embrace that responsibility,” noted Mr. Geyser.

AUSTRIA – The supervisory board of NOVOMATIC AG has accepted the resignation of its CEO, Harald Neumann, due to family reasons.
Mr. Neumann will continue to have supervisory board functions and advise the company on international projects. “On behalf of company founder Prof. Johann Graf and the supervisory board of NOVOMATIC AG, I would like to thank Mr. Neumann for his great commitment as chairman of the management board over the past six years”, stated Dr. Bernd Oswald, chairman of the supervisory board.
“Mr. Neumann made a significant contribution to the successful expansion of the group. His personal wish to resign from his position at the end of the month was granted with regret”, he added.

SERBIA – The Serbian parliament is considering a bill that provides for a change in gambling legislation. It’s the first change to the country’s laws governing gaming in over a decade and the plans focus on raising taxation upon the sector, both online and land-based.
Online gaming tax rates will increase from five per cent to 15 per cent, and for land-based establishments taxes scale to up to 10 per cent. Moreover, if the bill is adopted, then land-based casinos will be able to obtain additional licenses. Today, Serbia has two licensed land-based casinos, with plans to increase licence numbers by 10 additional locations. The Serbian parliament has also made clear its plans to “hunt” for illegal online casinos, with a view to blocking and black listing.
NORWAY – The Norwegian government has proposed several amendments to the Broadcasting Act aimed at preventing foreign gaming providers from promoting online gambling on television.
With these regulatory measures, the Norwegian media authority could instruct local television distribution partners to prohibit illegal gambling operators from promoting their products in Norway. If the law is approved it would close a legal loophole that allows unlicensed gaming operators to advertise on Norwegian television.
Norsk Tipping and Norsk Rikstoto are currently the only gambling providers allowed to advertise on Norwegian television. Norway is one of the few European nations to maintain the monopoly model as the preferred system for gaming services.
