March, 2021 Accu-Assembly Showcases Auto Reel Storage

ANDOVER, MA — Accu-Assembly is show- casing its award-winning AccuStock™ fully automatic SMT reel component storage sys- tem and AccuID SMT component reel bar- code decoding system at IPC APEX 2021 vir- tual expo.

AccuStock is a fully automatic SMT reel

component storage and retrieval system (ASRS) for different sizes of SMT component reels. Requiring minimal operator assis- tance, AccuStock accurately stores and retrieves up to 8,000 reels of different diame- ters and thicknesses. Unlike other storage systems that

require the user to place reels a few at a time into the storage system, users can place up to 150 reels of components into the AccuStock

AccuStock automatic component storage system.

input stacking loader at once. The system offers high throughput and does not require any pallets. In addition, it

can integrate with X-ray part counters and provides flexible output sorting of reels. The new AccuID benchtop system has been designed to easily produce a unique barcode label for each SMT component reel rather than having an operator scan one label at a time using a hand scanner. The AccuID has a simple user interface:

once the reel is placed in the system, the scan begins automatically. AccuID can also be used for incoming inspection to verify the

accuracy of the barcode labels on the reel. Contact: Accu-Assembly, Inc.,

Vision Engineering Offers Non- Cartesian CMM

NEW MILFORD, CT — Vision Engineering has added a con- tact-only coordinate measuring machine (CMM), Deltron, to its range of metrology systems. Deltron is a non-cartesian CMM with an innovative delta robotic mechanism, designed to offer repeatable motion, fast accelera-

AUTOMATION. DRIVEN BY KURTZ ERSA. Deltron non-cartesian CMM. PERFECT SOLUTIONS FROM A SINGLE SOURCE

Ersa is successful worldwide with systems and machines for the production of electronic assemblies. There is less and less demand for single machines. Rather, it is about offering complete solutions, i.e.complete production lines and integrated process automation, and thus assuming responsibility for the entire production process. This applies both to the requirements of mass production and to the individual, demand-oriented production of customer-spe- cific products. Especially in this area, there is an increasing demand for solutions that enable flexible manufacturing strategies.

Ersa offers individual process optimization through perfectly synchronized handling and automation solutions. The Kurtz Ersa Automtion modular system impresses with a wide range of conveyor systems, work stations for as- sembling or quality inspection, robotic solutions and much more. In any case, Ersa has the right solution for every individual requirement.q

tion and a high level of measure- ment accuracy. Deltron includes tempera-

ture sensors to ensure that meas- urement results are as though they were performed at 68°F (20°C). The system can be placed anywhere it is needed, such as next to a machine tool, within a manufacturing cell or used in a dedicated inspection area. The system is delivered with

ViTouch3D, which is powerful and easy-to-use software suitable for a range of abilities. Deltron is the result of a new partnership between Vision Engineering and Aberlink, Ltd., a manufacturer of coordinate measuring machines, vision measuring systems and

measurement software. Contact: Vision Engineer - ing, Inc., 570 Danbury Road,
