Product Demo: The Multiwash 340/Pump Battery

Get a first-hand demonstration of the lastest invention from Truvox International.

Amongst a whole host of other innovations, Truvox International launched the Multiwash 340/ Pump Battery at ISSA/Interclean Amsterdam last month. The previous model of the Multiwash has long been one of the most popular fl oor cleaning machines in Truvox’s range, and visitors to the show were among the fi rst to see and experience the very latest model.

The new machine, available now, includes all the features that make the Multiwash so successful. It can wash, scrub and dry both hard and soft fl oor coverings in a single pass, leaving fl oors ready to walk on in minutes. A choice of brushes allows operatives to undertake normal cleaning, maintenance cleaning or intensive scrubbing, and it is quiet in operation, providing minimal disturbance for people using the building that is being cleaned.

It is also extremely effective on ‘diffi cult’ fl oors, such as non-slip

safety fl oors, low pile carpets, escalators, travelators, and entrance matting. Plus it’s easy to manoeuvre, not just when cleaning, but between sites and locations too.

So, what are the reasons for changing this much loved machine? Gordon McVean, Sales and Marketing for Truvox, explained: “The market has been asking for this for many years, so we now have a battery version with interchangeable batteries, which for us and for the business is critical.

“It’s a modern technology and its brand new to use, and we’re just about to land the fi rst container – we’ve already sold 50% of the product because of the huge demand customer’s have for it. This is something that we’re really excited about.”

The new model includes some welcome innovations that improve both productivity and health and safety:

• Battery operation means no trailing cables, minimising the risk of trips and falls

• Continuous battery run time of up to 50 minutes

• Quick change battery system enabling longer run times with a second battery

• Four litre solution tank that is removable and easy to clean

• 34cm cleaning width

Tiling, rubber-studded fl ooring, carpets and laminates can all be cleaned effectively by the Multiwash, and this versatility means it suits a number of different industry sectors such as education, healthcare and retail.

The Multiwash 340/Pump Battery operates by applying the cleaning liquid to the fl oor surface via the spray pump in front. Using counter rotating cylindrical brushes, which exert more than four to six times more pressure than a rotary machine, the brushes scrub the fl oor and throw the dirty water onto the conveyor drum. Due to its high brush pressure and speed, less water and solution is used which makes it both cost effective and benefi cial in environmental terms.
