Progression In Education
With Interclean over and done with, Matt Baines reflects on it's aftermath, but he still has some exciting news to report from Premiere Products HQ.
As I write, it is the week after ISSA Interclean Amsterdam and the company is returning to business as usual, albeit with an excited post-show buzz.
It has to be said that Interclean week 2014 was a very good week for Premiere, with a fresh new brand and many complimentary product developments on display for the first time to a wide audience. The feedback received was extremely positive, confirming what we thought we knew already but is always nice to hear from others – that we’re heading in the right direction! We are now in the process of communicating with those who expressed interest, and converting the initial contact into meaningful and mutually beneficial long-term business relationships.
In the midst of all this, there is yet one other exciting development which directly affects my “corner of the empire”, but which was unfortunately finalised too close to Interclean for it to become a truly integral part of our show message. However, it is with great pleasure that I am now able to announce a renewed partnership between Premiere and BICSc/BICS Business Services (BBS) for training and
qualification delivery in the UK. As of 1st June 2014, Premiere has become a Level Three BBS Associate, once again being able to provide Mandatory Unit qualifications, CPSS Skills qualifications and Assessor qualifications to our UK customers.
As I’ve written on more than one occasion previously, Premiere is delighted to be reaching its 90th anniversary during the course of this year, and we are quite rightly proud of the heritage surrounding all aspects of our business. However, one particular and highly favoured boast of mine is that we have directly employed an “outward facing” customer training team for nearly 50% of those 90 years, by far and away leading the field as compared to the majority of competitors. For me, no further evidence is required as proof that training and education are at the very heart of who we are, what we stand for and what we do best.
With this in mind I believe that our new relationship with BBS solidifies our training offering, ensuring as broad a choice as we think any cleaning service provider could want. Our heritage, experience and knowledge in the delivery of training and education to the cleaning
industry, along with a series of carefully selected strategic partnerships, put us in what I believe to be an unrivalled position in comparison to our competition.
We are able to deliver off-the-peg or bespoke training options, certificated by Premiere, in a diverse range of subject areas including creating COSHH & risk assessments, sanding and sealing wood floors or grinding and vitrifying stone floors, understanding specifications and productivity rates and a whole host of other topics, too numerous to mention. We are able to offer practical skills training through our partnerships with BICSc and City & Guilds, allowing our UK customers to choose the awarding body and brand they feel sits best with their business.
Our partnership with BICSc also provides us with the opportunity to assist customers in setting up their own internal training provision as an Accredited Training Organisation, where the on-going costs of training provision via a third party provider may well prove to be prohibitive. We are able to engage with our end users in overseas territories via our partnership with BICSc International, and finally, we can provide access to funded apprenticeships in cleaning, catering and security through our partnership with Jigsaw Training Ltd.
All things considered, I can’t think that our training and education offering has ever been more robust, and we’re very much looking forward to getting started with BICSc delivery again in June!
