Tissue enabled us to ‘grow up’ and provided an excellent high end product for customers who had these types of corporate demands, and our relationship went from strength to strength.”
Step Change In 2008, the company took residence in a second barn, and installed their fi rst converting line for creating rolled products, and the business defi nitely moved up a gear. As a
result, in 2011, they moved to new, larger premises in Bromsgrove. Here they installed a second industrial re-winder, enabling them to improve effi ciencies, and produce much more product – today, with three times the square footage they had previously, incorporating production and warehousing, the business now has great scope for more growth.
The constant drive for quality and consistency also saw Midland Paper join the CHSA in 2008, and achieve the Soft Tissue Accreditation Mark. Craig continued: “There will always be disreputable companies trying to pass off unmarked products as being something that they are not. The Soft Tissue Accreditation Scheme allows end users to easily identify those products which can be bought with total confi dence in the conformance to the stated specifi cation. The Scheme is monitored by an Independent Inspector too, so it carries some weight in the industry.”

record for consistency in product, quality, growth and modest profi t, the team continues to invest in the business and the industry.
Craig concluded: “Over the past 10 years, we’ve had some of the worst economic conditions on record. At times, it has even felt as if Mother Nature was against us, with earth quakes in major forest regions, and wet/dry extremes provoking fi bre pricing pressures across the Industry. Despite this, we did what we set out to do, and what we knew we could do as a team. We started with nothing but our own experience, and we are very pleased and proud to be celebrating 10 years – bring on the next ten.”
