Laboratory Products 63 Extended Warranty on Scales from 2023
Leading UK weighing scale and balance manufacturer Adam Equipment is extending the warranty periods of its products to as much as five years in a move to demonstrate the quality and durability of its products.
Effective from January 2023, Adam’s new warranties will apply to all new purchases from that point. “Extending many products to a five-year warranty will put the Adam brand ahead of just about any other scale or balance manufacturer you can think of.” said CEO Richard Storey.
Richard continued: “Our previous warranty structure, whilst in line with much of the weighing industry, didn’t reflect the confidence we have in the quality and durability of Adam products. “So, we did some research. We’ve spoken to customers, some who have had an Adam scale or balance for 10, 15 years or more and it’s still going strong. “We know Adam products will outlast the average scale or balance - so we don’t think they should have an average scale or balance warranty.
“Warranty gives you peace of mind, peace of mind that we will stand by the investment you make and that the quality and durability of our products’ performance allows you to weigh better for longer.”
To take advantage of the new, longer warranty periods, buyers only need to register their product on Adam’s website upon purchase. Should they experience any issues with parts or workmanship, the buyer would contact either their local Adam office or the authorised reseller who they bought the product from by telephone or email to start the streamlined claim process.
“We’ve been in this industry for 50 years and our customers know that the Adam brand means quality,” said Richard. “We’re excited that our new warranties promise new customers that they can trust Adam for their weighing needs - with double the peace of mind compared to our old warranty periods in many cases.” Adam Equipment, which celebrated its 50th birthday in 2022, is making the new warranty periods available worldwide, via its offices in the UK, Germany, USA, South Africa, Australia and China. Save Costs with Energy-efficient Refrigerated Circulators
Laboratory circulators ensure reliable and precise temperature control of samples, test specimens and processes in basic research, material testing or in technical plants. In many of these applications, partial load operation is usually sufficient for efficient dissipation of heat. Energy-efficient refrigerated circulators can help customers save operating costs and also reduce the environmental impact.
For this reason, Julabo offers four energy-efficient temperature control instruments for different customer requirements: The new models CORIO CD- 449F, CORIO CP-449F, DYNEO DD-449F and MAGIO MS-449F. All four refrigerated circulators have been developed with a focus on energy efficiency and work with natural, environmentally friendly refrigerants. In the partial load range, this can lead to significant operating cost savings and thus to a faster return on investment for many applications. At the same time, the lower energy consumption makes a positive contribution to climate protection.
Another advantage: The 449F refrigeration unit has a large bath volume. The unit is perfect for precise temperature control of larger or a variety of samples in the bath.

parameter: PT1 and PTBT1 measure Conductivity, TDS, and Salinity; PT2 and PTBT2 measure pH; PT3 and PTBT3 measure ORP; PT4 and PTBT4 measure Free Chlorine Equivalent (FCE
PT1 and PTBT1 instruments are engineered with a proprietary conductivity cell that delivers accuracy of ±1% of reading and ±0.2% of reading at calibration point.
PT2 and PTBT2 instruments employ a proprietary sensor with a large KCl reservoir for extended life. The user can choose to perform a 1-, 2-, or 3-point calibration. Accuracy is ±.01 pH.
PT3 and PTBT3 proprietary sensors are constructed of a 99.9% pure platinium electrode. There are 3 calibration options with automatic solution recognition. Measurement accuracy is ±10mV.
PT4 and PTBT4 determine the chemical activity of a solution without the hassle and subjectivity of colorimetric and test-strip methods. These instruments feature a proprietary sensor and accuracy of up to ±0.3 ppm FCE
™.
PT5 and PTBT5 instruments are accurate to ± 2% of reading with 3 calibration methods: Water Saturated Air; Air Saturated Water; and 0 ppm DO. Readings are adjustable for altitude and salinity and display in concentration, % saturation, or both.
PT6 and PTBT6 measurement method is compatible with EPA Approved Standard Method 4500-NO3— D. The user can select either a 1- or 2-point calibration option and choose from one of 4 standard solutions depending on the application. Readings display as Nitrate, Nitrogen, or mV.
