Kristine Cornish (Pereira) 99’ started a new job on April 1, 2021, as the Ceded Reinsurance Coordinator with Accelerant Holdings Ltd. Kristine made the move after 16 years at her previous company and says she is continuing to upgrade her skills by studying to attain an Associates in Reinsurance (ARe) by 2022. She writes: “It has certainly been a challenge trying to study and learn my new role with COVID impacting schools and offices being closed but I’m really excited to be part of a new company and work on educating myself further within the industry.


Clare O’Connor ‘99 had a selfie shared on the NASDAQ Tower in NYC when Bumble, the company where she is Head of Editorial Content, went public in February.


2000s

Aliyyah Ahad ‘08, was named as the new Government of Bermuda representative in Brussels. Aliyyah has an Honours Degree in Political Science and Sociology from the University of Toronto and was a Rhodes Scholar at the University of Oxford where she studied Migration Studies and Public Policy. Her many years of experience working in Bermuda, Toronto, Paris, Rabat, Washington DC, Oxford, London, and Brussels have prepared her well for this exciting new role.


2010s


Jessica Lewis ‘11 was named Bermuda’s Female Athlete of the Year for 2020. Jessica is currently continuing her training for the 2021 Paralympics which are set to be held in Tokyo, Japan.


Ojeda Smith ‘15 has obtained a pupillage with Wakefield Quin. Ojeda worked as a summer student with the firm in 2018 and 2019 and is a two-time recipient of Wakefield Quin’s legal scholarship award.


Lauren Pereira ’12 was called to the Bermuda Bar and has joined the Bermuda office of international law firm Conyers, as an associate in the corporate department. In 2019, Ms Pereira achieved her Graduate Diploma in Law and completed her legal practice course at the University of Law, London.
