When COVID-19 directly impacted Bermuda in 2020 and the Island went into lockdown, many in Bermuda were affected with job loss and a change in their circumstances. There was great uncertainty and in recognition of this, the BHS community came together to support those families and raise funds for an Emergency Bursary Fund. Two separate Giving Weeks were held in 2020 for critical needs, raising over $200,000 to help these families keep their daughters at BHS. It was a remarkable outpouring of support and recognition of the difficulties many in our community were facing and we are enormously grateful for everyone who contributed in any way.
