MOTORING
Taking it up a gear
at Burrows Rotherham
After more than 20 years at its previous site in Templeborough, Burrows Motor Company’s Rotherham Toyota franchise has relocated to the bright lights of Wickersley to help the family- owned car business make headway.
When Steve Burrows first launched his car dealership in 1999, Rotherham Toyota was the first site he acquired. Since then, business growth has accelerated to now employ around 350 staff at nine showrooms across Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire, with franchises in Toyota, Kia and Mazda.
Sadly, the old Rotherham site, off Ickles Roundabout, was prone to flooding and had to be evacuated numerous times in recent years. So when the opportunity to purchase the former JCT600 site on Bawtry Road arose, it was one Steve couldn’t turn down. The new Wickersley showroom is not only in a more prominent position with passing trade, but it is also a bigger site with more modern interior and within the busy residential area.
“From the small and
compact Aygo city car to the sophisticated and strong All New Highlander SUV or even the racing inspired GR Supra sports car, Burrows Toyota has a car to suit your driving needs.
”
If you’re an existing Burrows Toyota customer, then you’ll be pleased to know the team is still made up of all the same friendly and familiar faces. Some of the sales and admin team have been with Steve since he first opened, while many of the mechanics and technicians have been with Burrows for around 15 years. If you’re in the market for a new car, at the
Wickersley showroom there is a great range of new and used vehicles by Toyota, each with their bold and distinctive styles. From the small and compact Aygo city car to the sophisticated and strong All New Highlander SUV or even the racing inspired GR Supra sports

car, Burrows Toyota has a car to suit your driving needs. Toyota are the market leaders in hybrid models and Burrows Rotherham have a range of self-charging hybrids such as the popular Corolla hatchback and C-HR crossover. But an exciting addition to the showroom is the new Yaris Cross which arrives later this summer and is set to take its namesake model to new heights. Marketed as Toyota’s smallest and cheapest SUV, the Yaris Cross enters the market as a rival for the Juke, Captur and T-Cross but with the bonus of optional four-wheel drive. Again, a hybrid model is available.
As the leading car manufacturer in the world,
Toyota has always been ahead of the game with their range of durable and reliable models. But the Burrows Toyota team are excited by the launch of the new industry leading ten- year warranty called Toyota Relax which is set to give buyers complete peace of mind. This means every new and used Toyota is eligible to be covered by up to ten years’ manufacturing warranty if serviced at a Toyota dealership - even if the vehicle has never visited a Toyota centre for a service before. So basically, to reward you for your loyalty, for every service you have with Burrows Toyota, you’ll get another 12 months’ warranty until your car is ten years old (or has done 100,000 miles).
