Ice Cream Bunting MAKE YOUR OWN:

This cute and colourful bunting is the perfect way to decorate any patio or child’s room this summer

You Will Need: 6cm Pom Pom Maker Peach coloured card

Small amount of thick cardboard DK Wool in a range of colours (25g makes 2 pom poms) Gold thread Glue gun Scissors

Embossing tool Ruler & Compass

Method

1. Using your pom pom maker or 2 circles of cardboard, make 6 pom poms in different colours. When tying off make sure to leave a length of thread to attach later.

2. Measure 6 pieces of peach card

12.5cm x 11.5cm and use a compass or plate to round the top of each. Using your ruler and embossing tool, score each piece vertically and horizontally. Roll and glue in place to make a cone. 3. To make the tassels, take a piece of thick card 6cm x 6cm. Cut a 4cm slot 1.5cm down from the right-hand side. Lay a piece of gold thread across the top, then wind wool vertically over the card about 12 times. Place a length of gold thread into the slot and tie off tightly. Cut along the bottom and slide off of card. Tie gold thread at the top leaving a length of cord. Make 7 in total. 4. To finish, plait a length of wool 137cm. Carefully hot glue your ice creams onto the cones. Tie on alternate tassels and ice creams to the plait and make a loop at each end to hang. Trim any loose ends. Your ice cream bunting is now ready.

Happy Crafting!
