t has been great to get out and about again in the
community to meet people face to face and once again share some wonderful stories.
One local lady, Denise Moody, may have travelled far and met famous people in the hairdressing world but her roots are firmly in her beloved village of Darfield where her business is celebrating a remarkable 60 years in the same building. We are fortunate to come across some amazing people. But none more so than Rolf Heymann who at the tender age of 92 welcomed us into his home and shared with us his personal battle, having left behind his home and mother in Germany at just 10 to start a new, safe life in Sheffield. We hope Rolf’s story also makes you laugh as he reminisces about happier times in England. One positive thing to come out of this pandemic is how important seeing our family is. Now we can get out and about, we share some fantastic family- friendly places to go as well as holidays in the UK if you are planning on staying closer to home. As ever, we bring you lots of ideas for every aspect of your life, whether that’s how to look after your health, improve your home and garden, or try new places to eat and drink locally. We hope you feel inspired to support our local independent businesses who are working hard to get back on their feet after such a difficult time. A happy, heathy summertime to you all.
