realitysoundbites. Teamwork Makes Their Dreams Of Saving Animals A Reality

While he was a cornerback for the NFL’s Tennessee Titans, Logan Ryan wed his col- lege sweetheart Ashley Bragg Ryan. Before being signed to the Titans, Ryan had already earned two Super Bowl titles with the New England Patriots. What more could this couple need to

start their lives as newlyweds? Instead of wedding gifts, Ashley and Logan asked their guests to donate to Help Animal Welfare in St. Lucia. The organization, based on the Caribbean island where the couple was wed, is dedicated to helping the street dogs through spay/neuter and adoptions. This past summer, Logan and Ashley

(shown right) became a foster family for Friends of Strays. Well-known for their work in animal welfare, the Ryans fostered four kittens for the no-kill shelter in St. Petersburg, Florida. The kittens were found orphaned under an abandoned building in Largo, Florida. The couple’s two young children named the kittens Apple, Jack, Coca Puff, Lucky Charm and Fruity Pebble. Ashley began working for an animal shelter in Providence,

Rhode Island in 2013, and fell in love with the work. She went on to receive a CPDT-KA dog training certification and con- tinues working to advance her knowledge in animal behavior. Always supportive of Ashley’s work with shelter animals,

Logan wanted to become more hands-on in helping shelter dogs. In 2015, he came up with an idea to showcase a shelter dog each month from shelters across the country. It became known as Ryan’s Monthly Rescue, and was wildly successful on social media.

Rescue Foundation (RARF). The Foundation partners with ani- mal welfare organizations around the world promoting pet adoption, offering grants and providing educational opportuni- ties to better the lives of animals.

Patsy, a friendly orange tabby, found her forever home. “For us to reach this milestone during a worldwide pandemic and after being closed for four months this year, is a tremendous achievement,” said Sandra Cagan, owner of the Orlando Cat Cafe. More than 70,000 visitors from all over the world have visited the Cat Cafe since it opened in 2016. Working together with SPCA Florida, Cagan Management Group, Inc. and Minch Coffee Company, it is the first Cat Cafe to open in Florida.
