21 Get on your bike to see the Peregrine project at Plymbridge Woods
There have been breeding Peregrine falcons at Cann Quarry in Plymbridge Woods for at least 50 years. Since the project started, 34 chicks have successfully left the nest and some of the young have been recorded at other locations raising their own chicks. You can see them for yourself from the viewing platform on the Plymbridge woods cycle trail. During the breeding season (February - July) The dedicated volunteers will show you the birds raising their young; teaching them to fly, hunt and survive see -

BBQ Warning! Please take care when in the
great outdoors and don’t take BBQ’s with you. Recently, fire crews spent 3 days tackling a wildfire in Kingswear which was only eventually doused with the help of a helicopter.
FORAGE AND FEAST July is a bumper month for foragers with the hedgerows and fields brimming with free wild food. Pick the vibrant yellow gorse flowers to make ice cream and keep a look out for bilberries and wild strawberries.
