The prolific Atlas Restaurant Group soon will open Max- imón inside the Four Seasons Baltimore. The restaurant will explore Latin American cuisine and culture through its cocktails, cuisine, private tequila tasting room, a stage for Latin American performances, Spanish-style court- yard, fountains and outdoor bar.
Also led by Atlas Restaurant Group, The Choptank will be opening soon, a Maryland crab house and seafood restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating, an outdoor bar, live entertainment and a recreational area.
Fell’s Point’s Broadway Market, the city’s oldest existing market building at more than 230 years old, unveiled a $3 million redevelopment of its north shed in early 2019, with its south shed slated for a late summer opening.
True Chesapeake Oyster House is coming to Hampden’s Whitehall Mill development. The 5,000-square foot space will be “refined but casual,” featuring local seafood.
Baltimore became the proud home of the first ever pur- pose-built Guinness brewery on American soil when the Guinness Open Gate Brewery and Barrel House opened in August. The brewery is the first Guinness presence in the U.S. since the 1950s.
Housed in a former Sears-Roebuck department store, Union Collective is anchored by Union Craft Brewing and 10 other vendors, including two that can provide food for events (Old Bay Caramel ice cream from The Charmery). The taproom can hold up to 400 guests, and there’s a stage for live music, a private space, and a glass wall overlooking the brewing equipment. An outdoor beer gar- den offers room for lawn games, as well.
Sagamore Spirit Distillery is a waterfront whiskey distill- ery that offers private events such as tastings and tours, but also sunset cruises, group bottling and cocktail les- sons. The distillery’s two indoor tasting rooms and a sce- nic outdoor tasting patio create a sophisticated, modern event setting for whiskey lovers.
