Sunday Times School of the Year

St Leonards School in St Andrews has been named Scotland’s Independent School of the Year 2019 by the Sunday Times' Schools Guide. The Parent Power Editor said: “No Scottish independent school can match St Leonards’ achievements in the sixth form averaged over the past four years.” St Leonards offers an outstanding boarding and day education from five to 18 years. Full, flexi and weekly boarding is available from age 10.

A Successful Year

This year was the fifteenth consecutive year in which all of The Compass School Form 8 children who have applied for places at secondary Independent Schools, have secured at least one place, with several children and their parents having multiple offers to consider. The children have also enjoyed a very successful year in sport. Swimmers took first place at the Merchiston School Gala and at the East Lothian Schools’ Swimming Finals at Prestonpans - winning the Small Schools' Competition and the Small Schools' Relay. The under 9 rugby team also won the Fettes College tournament back in November.
