Glenalmond College SPACE AND TIME TO LEARN

The school was founded by William Gladstone, whose vision of intellectual and personal fulfilment it has never lost sight of. It sits in a magnificent rose-red quadrangle, set in 300 acres of parkland, with its own golf course designed by James Braid, who created the King’s course at Gleneagles, a short distance away. The estate spreads above the River Almond, whose glen defines the southern edge of the Highlands. Thanks to small classes, first class teaching through the famous ‘Learning Project’, and close support by academic tutors, it is a given that Glenalmond pupils achieve top
