The Future Faces committee has chosen Birmingham Women’s Hospital Charity as its charity of the year. During the next 12 months, Future


Faces will be raising money for a newly-launched appeal which will see the construction of a purpose- built £3.5m bereavement centre at the Women’s Hospital, the first to be established in a hospital setting. Building work on Woodlands


House will not begin until all of the funding for it is in place. The bereavement centre where


people can recover from receiving devastating news in peaceful, calm surroundings. The trust said that its mission


was “to drive forward our commitment to providing the highest quality, world-class care that women, children and families want, and deserve. The trust oversees the activities


of a team of 6,000 medical staff and its hospitals receive around

Two leading Midlands-based marketers will share insight and their experiences with senior marketing professionals. Greg Reed, chief executive of Homeserve and Mark


Hull, group head of marketing at Dignity will be speaking at an invite-only event for head of marketing and marketing directors, being held at Edgbaston stadium on 23 May. After a 20 year international career in banking, Greg


joined Homeserve Membership, part of Homeserve Group, as UK chief marketing officer. Mark Hull has had an extensive career in marketing,


previously working at BSkyB, Unity Communications and Invesco Perpetual before taking up his current role at funeral services firm Dignity. Alongside talks from Greg and Mark, delegates at the

Walsall was unsure what she wanted to do when she left school and cancelled all university applications to begin a dental nursing apprenticeship. But after realising it wasn’t


for her, she left and went to help at the family accountancy business, JD Figures Limited, as a stop gap. It wasn’t long before she


developed a passion for administration work and within a month the idea was born to set up JRD Admin Aid Limited as a solution to outsourced admin support for businesses, alongside her mum, Jane. The pair now have seven employees including an apprentice. The judges


hailed her as “capable, hardworking and ambitious” on what was International Woman’s Day stating such “admirable traits will propel her even further”. JRD Admin Aid was also


one of four finalists to make the shortlist for the Midlands Service Provider of the Year (up to £1m turnover). Rebecca (pictured) said:


“When I finished school, I didn’t feel ready for university so I took an apprenticeship because I didn’t know what I wanted to do. “I didn’t enjoy it so I left and


came to help in the family business, just to gain some experience. I started to enjoy the administration work and was very organised and structured in my approach to the workload, so within a month, my mum and I launched JRD Admin Aid Limited and I’ve loved every minute of it since.”
