MATTRESS

Brooklyn Bedding Launches The Titan: A Mattress For Plus-Size Sleepers By Chris Schriever

Brooklyn Bedding recently added another key sleep solution to its portfolio of niche mattresses: the Titan by Brooklyn Bedding. Offering a plus-size solution for plus-size sleepers, the Titan is designed to address the main concerns of larger sized customers. “Throughout our 25-year history, we’ve shunned the one-size-fits-all approach in the mattress category,” said John Merwin, own- er and cheif marketing officer of Brooklyn Bedding. “It was only natural for us to craft a personalized solution for those larger sleep- ers who have a difficult time finding a quality mattress that offers ample support and ample comfort and durability.” In engineering the Titan, the company fo- cused first on offering substantial support for heavier sleepers. The Titan delivers extra lift and extra durability by including a firmer, two-inch layer of the company’s exclusive Ti- tanFlex foam. Importantly, TitanFlex adjusts to movement more quickly than traditional mem- ory foam but still delivers contouring comfort. In the past, most plus-size sleepers have had to opt solely for a firmer sleep surface, sacri- ficing comfort for all-important support. The Titan also features infusions of both

TitaniumGel and CopperGel in the TitanFlex foam layer, each of which contributes signifi- cantly to a cooler night’s sleep and greater stability within the cell structure. A one-inch

layer of quilted, gel memory foam tops the mattress to promote greater breathability and resist long-term body impressions. The core of the mattress is made with up to 1,024 in- dustrial strength, individually pocketed Titan- Caliber springs, delivering targeted pressure point relief while also helping decrease mo- tion transfer between sleep partners. A thick- er than standard, two-inch high density foam is added to the base to enhance the durability of the mattress while reinforcing the individu- ally pocketed springs as they compress. Brooklyn Bedding offers a portfolio of sleep accessories that complements the launch of the new mattress, including its Super Duty High Rise Platform. Engineered to provide critical center support for all mattresses, the platform can bear up to 3,000 pounds of evenly distributed weight and easily connects to most headboards and footboards with the purchase of an adapter. Naturally breathable Bamboo Twill Sheets and Talalay Latex Pillows are designed for both comfort and a cooler night’s sleep, helping to alleviate night sweats. The Titan by Brooklyn Bedding retails ex- clusively online between $699 for a twin to $1,249 for a California King. Like all Brook- lyn Bedding mattresses, it comes with a free 120-night comfort trial and a 10-year war- ranty. The company also offers free nation- wide shipping with bed-in-a-box delivery.
