Accessories The Pillow Bar Delivers Custom Comfort

By Chris Schriever The Pillow Bar focuses on solving each and every customer’s unique sleep challenges by hand-making pillows to match their unique sleep style and physical size. As the sole US purveyor of handmade down filled sleeping pillows, the company offers a wide range of down filled pillows, down alternative pillows and many other bedroom luxuries. After trying various pillows from all price points, sizes and shapes, Merrimac Dillon still found herself uncomfortable upon waking. So in 2008, she started The Pillow Bar with the goal of creating custom-made pillows to match her sleep style and body size. The company spent more than a year with chiro- practors and neurosurgeons in sleep tests to create its specialized line of handmade pillows. With its unique Pillow Bar machine, the company is able to make each pillow in-

dividually for every customer, ensuring the manufacturing process is clean and the final product is pristine. The pillows are made in and shipped directly from Dallas, TX. Every Pillow Bar product is designed to match the consumer’s specific sleep style

and physical size in an effort to keep their head in alignment with the spine. For added luxury, the company includes an embroidered zippered protector and aromatic French lav- ender sachet. Visit thepillowbar.com

Complete with a unique sleep tracker that monitors key factors affecting sleep, the feature-rich Epitome base will be on display during the spring High Point Market. “The adjustable bed base category has grown rapidly in recent years, and we see a tremendous opportunity ahead in the luxury space. We have been very deliberate in devel- oping and designing our entrée into the dy- namic adjustable sleep business,” said Frank Hood, president and chief executive officer of Kingsdown. “Our Epitome base includes all of the latest technology and is perfectly suited for our upper-end, luxury products.” In addition to working with Kingsdown’s

The tracker also allows consumers to analyze sleep pat- terns over time and provides recommenda- tions for getting a better night’s sleep. Other key features of the Epitome include an adjustable massage function, under-bed lighting, dual USB ports on each side and a wireless remote control. The remote includes three pre-set positions (anti-snore, zero grav- ity and TV) and a memory function that stores two other favorite positions. The Epitome can also be controlled by voice-activated com- mands with Amazon Alexa and Google Home or via an app through smart devices. Sold under Kingsdown’s Zedbed label, the Epitome is available in twin, twin XL, full, full XL, queen and king—and retails for about $2,499 in queen.
