Sports
The sporting events at the Wildwoods Convention Center continue to stand out among the competi- tion and grow in diversity and number year after year. The convention center can accommodate events up to 5,000 competitors with ease.
Add to that a large number of hotel and motel rooms available at attractive off-season rates, plenty of great family restaurants, a two-mile boardwalk with hundreds of eateries, rides and attractions, and more than 160 island-wide events and festivals annually, many of them free, and the Wildwoods is a perfect family location for hosting and attending any youth sporting event, at any time of year.
Wildwoods Triathalon
The Wildwoods Convention Center offers flexible indoor venue space, allowing it to host all types of sporting events year-round and in any type of weather, with an emphasis on youth sports. The venue hosted over two-dozen sporting events and tournaments in 2018 - ranging from Youth Wrestling, Cheerleading and Basketball, to Gymnastics, Futsal, Roller Derby, Band competi- tions, along with the world-famous Harlem Globetrotters and WWE professional wrestling.
The adjacent beach and ocean expand the venue’s offerings in a way that no other similar venue can. In the summer, the sandy beaches are transformed into soccer, lacrosse, baseball, field hockey, volleyball and Ultimate Frisbee tourna- ment fields.
The Wildwoods’ five-miles of white sand beaches also are the largest beaches on the entire East Coast - making it a perfect setting for large events, whether it’s a surfing or swimming com- petitions, outdoor concerts, beach drag races, beach soccer tournaments, field hockey and lacrosse tournaments, Ultimate Frisbee champi- onships, baseball on the beach tournaments, Monster Truck rallies, volleyball, or track and field competitions.
Add to that bleacher seating for over 3,000 for spectators, and the Wildwoods enormous beach- es are an ideal outdoor venue for any event.
