Harrah's Resort Atlantic City recently announced plans for a $56 million guest room and suite renovation in its Coastal Tower, featuring 507 finely-appointed guest rooms and suites, to be completed in its entirety by summer of 2019. The room and suite upgrades are part of Caesars Entertainment's total investment of over


$250 million into its Atlantic City casino- resorts over the last four years, which includes the $125 million Waterfront Conference Center at Harrah’s, the revamped Pool After Dark nightclub, and the recent debut of Gordon Ramsay Steak, the seven-Michelin star chef and television per- sonality's first steakhouse concept in the tri- state area.


"Building on the recent success of our world-class Waterfront Conference Center, which is the largest hotel-conference center complex from Baltimore to Boston within driving distance of one-third of the U.S. pop- ulation, we are thrilled to announce the news of the Coastal Tower renovation to continue to provide an enhanced experience for our meeting planners, attendees and all guests," said Steve van der Molen, Caesars Entertainment vice president, meetings operation, Atlantic City Region.


Harrah's Resort will redesign and enhance 507 guest rooms and suites in the current Harbour Tower, partnering with a local design house, MPM Studios, to curate the


in-room guest experience. The upgraded rooms and suites will further complement the resort's destination-appeal, enhancing its portfolio of first-class dining, entertain- ment, nightlife and The Waterfront Conference Center at Harrah's, which fea- tures 125,000-square feet of meeting space and offers planners a unique experience where attendees can sleep, eat and meet all in one location with more than 2,586 hotel rooms available on-site. The first phase of the newly-renovated Coastal Tower is set to debut in early 2019.


Tropicana has purchased The Chelsea Hotel. Now called The Chelsea Tower at Tropicana Atlantic City, this additional tower brings Tropicana’s room inventory to 2,730 overnight rooms and links the Tropicana with Chelsea Tower via a skyway bridg. Offerings of the new tower include the Oasis swim- ming pool, Chelsea Five Gastropub, Whiskey Five, and Cabana Five Bar and Pool Deck.
