Zero Gravity Volleyball and Select Events Basketball have signed contracts with the Atlantic City Sports Commission and Spectra Venue Management to bring a consecutive three-week tournament series to the Atlantic City Convention Center after the purchase of SportProsUSA, Inc., which has been the premier source for building and maintaining sport courts in the metro area for over 10 years.
“The ‘all under one roof mantra’ that is sweeping the sports indus- try entices event organizers to host their events in a sizable loca- tion that is large enough to hold their event without using multiple locations. This purchase allows us to become a major competitor not only on the East Coast, but also throughout the country,” stated Daniel Gallagher, sports account director for the Atlantic City Sports Commission.
“The Casino Reinvestment Development Authority (CRDA) is pleased to have been able to fund the acquisition of SportProsUSA courts to be used at the Atlantic City Convention Center and Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall,” said CRDA executive director Matt Doherty. “This, along with other investments in our buildings, has allowed us a competitive advantage over other cities, as is shown by the booking of this prestigious tournament series,” he added.
Zero Gravity Volleyball will be hosting the Boardwalk Block Party April 26-28, 2019 at the Atlantic City Convention Center. Select Events Basketball will be hosting two events at the Atlantic City Convention Center. The main event will take place May 3-5, 2019, and Atlantic City Showcase will take place May 17-19, 2019.
“We are very pleased to be extending our relationship with Zero Gravity and Select Events at the Atlantic City Convention Center. They are a great organization that provides high level events around the country to help teams get maximum exposure,” said Spectra’s Dean Dennis, general manager of the Atlantic City Convention Center.

2018 after an all-encompassing renovation and reimagining on the site of the former Taj Mahal. Here, guests can enjoy fresh, high-quality items from Hard Rock’s world-renowned menu, including a selection of mouthwatering Legendary burgers, Smokehouse ribs, chicken and pork slowly cooked, as well as an award-winning drinks menu that includes Hurricanes, Margaritas, signature favorites and Alternative Rock (alcohol-free) beverages, all available in Hard Rock’s souvenir, collectible glassware.
The Atlantic City Cafe also is the go-to destination for live music and entertainment events with regularly host- ed performances by world renowned artists. Fine dining restaurants at Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa includes a variety of options, each offering different inspiration and varying cuisine, from American steak- houses and classic Italian recipes to modern Japanese fare.
Angeline is Iron Chef and James Beard Award winning chef Michael Symon’s ode to classic Italian food at Borgata - simple, bold, fresh and served with prideful attention to detail. The menu captures nostalgia, as every dish presented is tied to his heritage and person- al history, from handmade pastas to wood-fired fare, a thoughtful wine program and bold mixology.
Another favorite at Borgata, Bobby Flay’s Steak House is a modern twist on the traditional steakhouse. Designer David Rockwell brings the whole experience together by using wine displays, lobster tanks, and dramatic wood ceiling panels.
Gleaning inspiration from the traditional casual pubs of Japan, known as izakayas, Chef Michael Schulson offers diners the chance to experience a taste of the Far East while visiting Borgata. Each dish on the menu at Izakaya reflects the time Schulson spent in Japan, from sushi rolls and signature sashimi to robatayaki (Japanese-style barbecue) and an impressive array of sake.
