ST MARY’S CHURCH FLOWER FESTIVAL 6th-7th July, 10am-4pm; 8th July, 1-5pm ‘A Fanfare of Flowers’ in Lytchett Matravers. Artistic arrangements, cleverly designed by expert flower arrangers, in our Grade 1 listed historic church. Refreshments will be served throughout the Festival, with our special Cream Teas served on Sunday from 2.30-5pm.

FUNDRAISING FOR NEW LADDER TO BELFRY Saturday 21st July 10:30-3:30 St Mary’s Church, Lytchett Matravers. We need to raise over £5,000 for some new permanent and safe ladders to the belfry. Listen to the bells, have a go yourself, see the bells ring via video link, try your hand at handbells, learn to splice a rope (11-12 and 2-3); craft, quizzes and competitions for all ages, light lunches and teas served throughout the day plus much more.

Brownsea Island is the largest of the islands in Poole Harbour, and has a varied and fascinating history with a wonderful range of flora and fauna, including the rare Red Squirrel.
If you would like to know more about the island a dedicated team of National
Trust volunteers provide off island presentation talks to local groups and organisations (within 40 miles of BH13).
