With it only being 20 minutes down the road, we can pack up and go down whenever we like. It is a perfect way to escape and spend time with loved ones. We lost a close family member and wanted to spend our inheritance on something that would always be a reminder to us of them, and there was no better way than remembering some of the fantastic times we spent together on our caravan holidays.
We visited from Ferndown and soon after we had become proud owners of our fi rst holiday home. Since then we have upgraded and now have a holiday home in the Oaks, a secluded area where we know all our neighbours and love calling it our ‘home away from home’.
On our way here, we fi nd that when crossing the Twin Sails Bridge it is like being many miles away. Even though we only live in Bournemouth, once we see the Rockley entrance sign, our journey is complete.
It is such a lovely place, you’re welcomed in the owners bar by the friendly staff who always remember your name. There is an entertainment complex, which has great family acts keeping both children and adults entertained all night. The children’s entertainers are fantastic, encouraging the little ones to make friends and come out of their shells.

The icing on the cake for us is the relaxed luxury of the owners club, with exclusive owners-only facilities, sauna, jacuzzi, gym and heated outdoor pool, which our grandchildren enjoy very much. There is also a water sports centre which is based on a local beach, a short walk down the main road. On site is a shop to buy everyday items/gifts, a chip shop, restaurant and Papa John’s pizza.
