Brooke’s World Challenge
Hi, my name is Brooke and I am 16 years old. Eighteen months ago, through Corfe Hills school, I signed up with a company called World Challenge to take part in an incredibly exciting expedition to Central America! Part of this expedition will involve trekking through Costa Rica and working on conservation and environmental projects.

Many of the locals have been known to take turtle eggs from the beach to eat. This is very saddening as it means they will never grow up or even see the light of day. By taking part in this project I will be working to help prevent this for a period of time and hopefully infl uence the locals to rethink about conserving the precious lives of turtles.

I have a massive challenge of fundraising the expedition cost. In total this is £3,975 and in order to raise these funds I have been really busy organising several events with my team, including bake sales and sweet selling. As well as this I have attended car boot sales at the weekends and offered my neighbours an odd job service such as car washing and babysitting, which has proven to be quite successful. I have also written off to numerous companies and used my own savings.
However, I still have more money to raise and that is why I would like to ask you to help me on my journey. Anything helps and if you could support me I would be so grateful.
