Welcome to the June issue
Summer seems to be well on the way now and the royal wedding has put our team in the mood for picnics, fetes and garden parties!
There are many outdoor events coming up (see pages 39, 74-75), and perhaps most notably for Broadstone, the Broadstone Family Fun Day is on the recreation ground on Sunday 1st July. See pages 6 and 15 for more details about the event and how you can still offer your help for the day.
We are pleased to be able to inform our readers of some great deals in this issue: the Skin Clinic is offering half price mole checks (see cover); Broadview Shading Solutions is offering free motors on its awnings in June (pg2); Ashley Blinds has 3 for 2 on selected shutters (pg11); Sturtons & Tappers’ summer sale starts on 7th June (pg13); Poole Lighting has 20% off all garden lights (p19); Daniel Simon has 35% off bespoke shutters and blinds in June (pg22), Forum Jewellers’ sale is now on (pg37) and Tuscany Blinds and Shutters has 20% off plantation shutters (pg63).
Regular advertisers Star Automotive and Star Tech have some good tips for summer motoring on page 7, Denise from Broadstone in Bloom shares her gardening tips for June on page 26, and there is some important advice on staying safe in the sun (pg44).
The Broadstone Neighbourhood Plan is put to the vote this month on Thursday 7th June. Find their FAQs on page 6 or visit their website or display in the library for more information before you make your decision.
If you would like to advertise your business or organisation in any of our magazines, including our new sister publication in Ashley Cross, do get in touch.
Until next time, Karen In this issue...
