an effortless rhythmical style with a sweet warm tone and daring scatting to create a performance which truly stirs the soul. A regular on Radio 2’s Best of Jazz, Louise is a powerful live performer and a skilful interpreter of swing, blues and gospel classics. She knocked our socks off in 2017, so bring a spare pair this year! From all the way over in Torquay come The Stone Angels. The recent release of their debut album ‘Spirit, Love & Higher Meanings’ has seen these boys go from strength to strength. Another of the many local bands who were keen to return to Dartmouth, they wowed the crowds last year and are set to do so again at this year’s Dart Music Festival. Last, but most certainly
not least, you can catch Dartmouth’s very own acoustic duo Mick & Lucy over the festival. After performing together for over 10 years in Dartmouth’s favourite party band Sax Appeal, Mick and Lucy decided to try something different - a little more refined, a little less raucous! Covering old favourites alongside current hits, a virtuoso guitar accompanies two beautifully matched voices. Perfect for a relaxed, intimate evening. There it is, just a small snapshot of some of the incredible homegrown talent on offer at this year’s Festival.
REUSABLE, RECYCLABLE, RESULT!
There is nothing better than enjoying a drink in the open air while listening to great music, and nothing worse than walking around an empty festival site over a plastic carpet of squishy, discarded cups. So this year we are excited to bring you our branded DMF Festival Cups. Each cup is solid and sturdy, reusable and fully recyclable. Simply go into one of the wonderful pubs backing our scheme or the Merch tent, pay your £1 deposit and get your cup. The cup can be used all day at all participat- ing businesses and then taken home as a souvenir of a fabulous weekend, or if you prefer just return it to one of the pubs and get your £1 back. You can even buy lanyards to hold the cup around your neck for ease of transport and hassle free clapping! We are all aware of the need to reduce plastic littering and so, by introducing this scheme, we really believe it’s a Re-use, Recycle, RESULT!
Participating in this scheme are: Bayards Cove Inn, Brown’s Hotel, The Royal Castle Hotel, The Cherub, The Crab & Bucket, Dart Marina Hotel, The Dartmouth Arms, The Dolphin Inn, The Flavel, The Floating Bridge, The Market House, The Ship in Dock, The Windjammer, Dartmouth Yacht Club, Yarn, The Seven Stars, The Ship Inn (Kingswear), The Steampacket (Kingswear), The Angel, Bays Brewery.
