Director Allan Winn who once tasked his Events Manager, Donna Hopton, with finding some willing volunteers to be part of a small group organising and running some car rides around the site at certain times of year and also for special occasions.

How that activity grew has been detailed in these pages before, so I will confine myself to offering Allan the team’s very best wishes for his retirement. We will miss his support, humour and expertise but are sure he will be a major part of the classic car and aviation scene for years to come.

The next Car Rides take place on weekdays (excluding Bank Holidays) between 3rd and 13th April and if any among you would like to put a sense of humour, fun, team spirit and the ability to get things done to good use, then drop us a line at brooklandscrt@gmail.com – we’d love to hear from you.
