The annual enthusiast awards were presented to Jill and Alan Wakefield, Anna McCafferty and Dave Keen, Dennis Burge, Jane and John Hinds, Mary Clark and Nigel Taylor. The Keith Judd award for Enthusiasm and Endeavour was presented to Colin Reynolds who, despite being unwell during the course of the year, still managed to participate in most of our activities.

the story-line does not get to the point where the author knows that tomorrow will be D-Day until towards the end. The reader must bear this in mind as the story begins when the author is very young. to tell. She was born as Stella Broughton in 1923 in Havant, and her upbringing was typical of that time. And yet she was destined to play a major role in a truly unique event planned by General Eisenhower and Field Marshal Montgomery for the Senior Officers of the D-Day landings the next day, and she was barely 21 years old at the time. It was late in the afternoon of the day before the landings when she knew she had been selected for the task. In her employment up to that time she had previously signed the Official Secrets Act twice so she knew of the importance of keeping 'schtum'. It was, of course, this knowledge that gave her the title for her book. Again, because of the act, the book was not published until 2014.
