Land Rovers lining the Finishing Straight (Katharine Allen).

ust over 2,000 visitors enjoyed the annual Military Vehicles Day on Sunday 19th November which made full use of the extra space available since the completion of the Aircraft Factory and Race Track Revival Project. The Finishing Straight was the home for dozens of Jeeps, Land Rovers and their derivatives and it was the perfect ‘square-bashing’ ground for the re-enactor groups who attended this year. On the grass inside the Paddock were the 10th Battalion the Essex Regiment A Co, First Aid Nursing Yeomanry, Royal Military Police, Daughters of Britain Living History and USN Shore Patrol. Opposite them, setting up their base in the Shell Pagoda, were the Royal Union Rifles with an Irish check-point and display, whilst in the Motoring Village Scorpion, with a SEAL (US Navy Sea Air
