City centre hotel reveals sleek refurbishment
Planning consent: A new image of the proposed office buildings at Birmingham Business Park
Business park set for expansion
New images have been released showing two proposed office buildings, totalling 130,000 sq ft, at Birmingham Business Park. The buildings will be located on
plot 6700, a 5.93-acre development site accessed from Solihull Parkway. Owner BlackRock and asset manager Canmoor have been granted planning consent by Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council to create the additional office space on the park. The buildings will comprise
60,881 sq ft and 70,171 sq ft, with 521 car parking spaces. Rob Large, director Canmoor, said:
“Birmingham Business Park is continuing to attract occupiers who want office accommodation with easy access to transport links and good on- site amenities for employees.”
The Radisson Blu Hotel in Birmingham is sporting a stylish new look following a comprehensive programme of refurbishment, with investment totalling £3m. Work to transform the city centre hotel began at the beginning of this year. Now complete, all 211 of the hotel’s guest bedrooms
boast a modern and contemporary feel. Each room has been upgraded with new beds, bedding, carpets, curtains, lighting, soft furnishings and the addition of sleek new furniture, including the famed Radisson Blu ‘signature chair’.

In-room technology is enhanced with the addition of
Apple smart TVs, and the hotel continues to offer the Radisson Blu brand’s signature fast and free wi-fi. To add to the overall transformation of the hotel, the
public areas and lobby have been fully renovated and the bar and restaurant are sporting a sleek new look. Meanwhile, the hotel’s fitness suite has also been
expanded, with new Matrix equipment throughout. Collage, an exciting new British brasserie restaurant,
is also now open. The Radisson Blu’s refurbishment has also seen upgrades to the 10 meeting rooms.

installed in every room to enhance the meeting experience. Barco wireless click share is now available, and with new super-sized flat screen TVs, guests can quickly connect their laptop or device to the screen. General manager Hina Simpson said: “We’re so
