In Brief

A treatment used by the stars of screen and soccer has come to Birmingham. The treatment is cryotherapy, which is being offered at a new skin clinic in Edgbaston, Active Clinic. The cryotherapy process uses very low

temperatures to treat a wide range of skin issues, including tissue damage, skin tone, inflammation and signs of ageing, while also boosting skin cell rejuvenation. According to Active Clinic, among those using

cryotherapy is supermodel Kate Moss and Real Madrid star Christian Ronaldo. Active Clinic is based at Hagley Road, Edgbaston.

Birmingham-based JM Security Systems, the award-winning security systems company, has taken delivery of a new fleet of ‘green’ vehicles to help reduce its carbon footprint. The seven vans and four estate cars are all

fitted with dashcams and trackers that show how fuel efficient they are and record the way the vehicles are being driven. Jay Masood, managing director of the

company, which is based in Summer Lane, said: “We cover hundreds of thousands of miles a year in our vehicles, so being more environmentally friendly is a major consideration. ”

Chance to join committee All change: The current committee, which will be stepping down at April’s AGM

The Asian Business Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) is inviting members to put themselves forward for election to the organisation’s executive committee. The new committee will be the first to be

elected following the ABCC’s landmark 30th anniversary. Those standing for this prestigious office must belong to a business which is a member of the ABCC. Nominees will need to fill out an application

form, with successful applicants invited to an interview panel, which will take place next month.

This will be followed by an election for the 14 positions, with the successful candidates being announced at the organisation’s annual general meeting on 25 April. This will be held at Birmingham Chamber of Commerce House, Harborne Road, Edgbaston, at 10.00am. The AGM will include an update on ABCC

matters, and will also be an opportunity for all members to meet and network.
