RAMPING UP THE VOLTAGE
The offshore wind industry is no stranger to TS Tech, an electrical contracting business based at the North Sea Port of Esbjerg in western Denmark. The company is already a trusted partner for a number of wind industry operators, including both Siemens and MHI Vestas.
EXTENDING EXPERTISE Until recently, however, the company activities within the offshore wind sector were primarily focused on electrical layout and installation of preassembly sites, worldwide mobilisation of installation vessels, and retrofitting tasks (both on and offshore). In 2017, TS Tech decided to add high voltage expertise to its portfolio of wind industry services, and this focus will intensify in 2018.

MARKET DEMAND FOR HIGH VOLTAGE SERVICES The company’s founder Thomas Sandholdt points out that his company has long been interested in expanding into the high voltage market – and now it has secured both the time and capacity to do so with respect to the offshore wind industry.
“We are seeing a market demand for the HV competences we can provide, which is why the TS Tech management decided that it was time to invest our effort in that direction,” he added.
