WILDLIFE AND HABITAT RANGE
WILDFLOWER MIXTURES
Wildflower meadows are inspiring; a summer stroll spent slowly wandering through a field of wildflowers is truly captivating and, contrary to most gardening practices, wildflowers need very little nutrition or maintenance. Some species have very specific requirements because they are specifically adapted to a particular type of habitat, i.e. woodland, chalk grassland, alluvial soils etc. Most wildflower mixtures are made up of eighty percent grass seed and twenty percent wildflower seed by weight, although a lot of wildflower seeds are much smaller than grass seed which balances the number of seeds out.
