FERTILISER WETTING AGENTS


In recent years, we have seen a rise in demand for wetting agents to help improve the soil's ability to take in water. Wetting agents are used to reduce the surface tension of water and improve the ability of soils, to make best use of available water and help increase water absorption. In the UK, numerous wetting agents are available, with each product performing slightly differently depending on its mode of action, dose rate and suggested programme of use.


Hydrate Liquid


Hydrate is a unique proprietary blend of soil active surfactants formulated for monthly applications in professional turf management. Hydrate corrects the conditions associated with water-repellent soils symptomatic of localised dry spot (LDS) often found in golf courses, sports fields, turf farms and managed residential lawn situations. Hydrate will improve the rate and depth of water penetration in organic acid coated sandy soils, and impermeable compacted soils. Hydrate will improve irrigation efficiencies by reducing pooled water over hydrophobic soils and reduce runoff. Hydrate will improve turfs playing conditions and result in operational cost savings to golf courses and public recreation facilities.

Qualibra® is an exciting concept in wetting agent technology. Qualibra’s technology allows water to move away from the surface as quickly as possible and distributes the water more evenly at greater depths to allow more efficient use by the roots of turf plants.
