These courses are delivered by an experienced ecologist, John Handley, and can be helpful for the beginner developing or rekindling a general interest or as a knowledge refresher for the expert. With an emphasis on practical identification skills, each course is designed to steadily develop the participants understanding throughout the day, enabling them to feel more confident, equipped with a better understanding of the different subjects.

• Introduction to Grasses • Wildflower Identification: Top 10 Flowering Families • Identifying British Trees • Introduction to Grassland NVC

In addition to the above, we have also added two NPTC certified courses to our portfolio – PA6PP (Safe application of pesticides using pedestrian hand-held equipment (Ecoplugs) and PA6G (Applying pesticide pellets or granules to land).

DID YOU KNOW?

Alongside our own portfolio of courses, we specialise in delivering Lantra and NPTC accredited training on-site, for groups of up to four or more, which can be tailor-made to the client’s specific requirements. Open courses are also offered at our Telford training centre and throughout Central and Southern England.

We are always looking to source alternative venues to facilitate our courses. If you feel your venue would be ideal for us to use all we require is a suitable room, tea/coffee making facilities and a light buffet lunch. On the proviso that we successfully secure

a minimum of six delegates onto the course (not including the instructor) we will offer you a FREE additional delegate place as a ‘thank you’ for the complimentary use of your facilities.

Our Online Courses include:

• Bowls Green Maintenance • Cricket Pitch Maintenance (Spring & Summer or Autumn & Winter)

• Winter Sports Pitch Maintenance (Rugby & Football)

ONLINE TRAINING We offer a suite of online training courses, useful for times where learning is essential but time is limited or the weather inclement. Our online training courses are all Lantra accredited and can be completed at your own pace. Each course is accompanied by a comprehensive training manual, sent to you upon registration and to keep for future reference. Our training courses are becoming increasingly popular and are endorsed by the Welsh Rugby Union whose volunteers are currently in the process of completing their online training in Winter Sports Pitch Maintenance (Rugby & Football).
